Online Store Ready for Google Merchant Center and Shopping Ads

Audit, adaptation or a new online store with reliable product data, feeds, Google Ads and SEO.

You have an online store, but your products are not showing in Google Shopping?

Or only some of them appear, while the rest sit disapproved in Merchant Center and nobody can say why?

Google Merchant Center checks more than your product file. It checks the whole store.

Many owners assume that selling through Google is a matter of uploading a spreadsheet of items. In practice Google also assesses the product page, the price, the availability, the checkout process, the return policy and your business details. Mismatches between them can lead to disapproved products, and systematic inconsistencies can lead to restrictions on the Merchant Center account itself.

What Google requires from the store itself before it is eligible at all:

  • the store must not be a platform where other merchants sell;
  • the products must be real and either shippable or downloadable;
  • the price must be visible and fixed, not "contact us for a quote";
  • there must be at least one conventional payment method in a secure checkout;
  • the customer must be able to buy directly on the site, without being redirected elsewhere;
  • the return and refund conditions must be clearly stated.

These are not new rules. Older stores, however, were built at a time when some of these points were not yet on the owner's radar. The gap can surface in different ways: disapproved products, reduced visibility, a warning in the account, or an issue at account level.

Eight signs that your store is not Merchant Center-ready

  • prices are maintained manually in several places and no longer agree with each other;
  • the product feed is refreshed manually too rarely and lags behind the prices or stock levels on the site;
  • availability on the site says one thing and Merchant Center says another;
  • the site or the feed still submits prices in leva, or the euro values differ between systems;
  • structured data for price or availability is implemented, but it does not match the visible page or the product data;
  • checkout is obstructed by a complicated registration, errors, an insecure connection or another barrier to completing the purchase;
  • the return, shipping and contact pages are missing, hidden or out of date;
  • product URLs change with every edit and the old ones stay broken - a sign of a technically unstable store.

The euro made the problem visible for everyone

The mandatory dual price display period in Bulgaria ended on 8 August 2026. Since 9 August the lev value is no longer required and the official price is set in euro. Google also lists EUR as the currency for the Bulgaria target country.

For Merchant Center it is critical that the price and availability in your product data match the product page and the checkout. If structured data is implemented, it has to carry the same values. Mismatches can lead to disapproved products, and systematic price or availability inconsistencies can lead to suspension of the Merchant Center account.

Stores that maintain prices manually in several places are discovering right now how many places there actually are.

Fix the existing store or build a new one?

The honest answer is that it depends. In some stores the problems are contained and can be solved with technical adaptation - the feed, structured data, policy pages, price and stock synchronization. On technologically outdated solutions the series of fixes can end up costing more than a new store and still remain a compromise.

That is why the first step is not a quote but a preliminary check. We review the store against the key requirements and tell you which of them appear unmet, and which of the two directions makes more sense in your case.

What the complete solution covers

  • analysis of the current store against Merchant Center requirements;
  • a new online store, or technical adaptation of the existing one;
  • product and offer structured data that matches the visible content;
  • an automated product feed with price and stock synchronization;
  • Merchant Center setup: business details, shipping, returns, domain verification;
  • linking Merchant Center to Google Ads;
  • Shopping and Performance Max campaigns and their ongoing management;
  • Google Analytics 4, conversion tracking and ecommerce measurement;
  • SEO for category and product pages;
  • content, internal linking and preparation for AI search;
  • technical and advertising support after launch.

One clarification that prevents misunderstandings

Merchant Center is not an advertising platform. It is where your product data lives. The campaigns themselves are created in Google Ads and use the products from the linked Merchant Center account. A Merchant Center-ready store is therefore a precondition for advertising, not the advertising itself.
